The Kerala Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers Association registered at Trichur vide serial No. 158 on 1-8-1984 under Clause XII of Travancore-Cochin Literary, Scientific and charitable Societies Act 1955, changed its name to “AYURVEDIC MEDICINE MANUFACTURERS ORGANISATION OF INDIA”. The amendments were approved by the General Body in the 4th State Convention of the Association held on 23rd January 1999 at Hotel Govardhara, Malampuzha, Palghat. The “Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturers Organisation of India” was made to help with the common difficulties face by the manufacturers of Ayurvedic medicine. The rules and regulations set up by the various Departments of the Central Government, State Governments, Local Bodies etc were tough to understand and abide by, so the body (AMMOI) would help to solve them in the best interests of the members.
The body would initiate or support and necessary action to face all problems confronting the Ayurvedic Industry. Members of this Organisation co-operate individually with other firms/ organisations in order to up hold the dignity of Ayurveda Medicine Manufacturers Organisation of India or with the aim of their well being in the social, economic and cultural field without affecting the Organisation’s betterment. The members are also rendered financial assistance to setup an Industry , research center etc AMMOI aims to safe-guard the best interest and betterment of members including the smooth functioning of the Organisation, therefore there are rules and regulations are in place.
